Daily Dose: Painting for the Soul

“The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.”

-Pablo Picasso

Every great artist leaves some degree of insight into their lives within their art. Anything and everything that the artist has experienced via any of the senses will accumulate in some manner to what becomes a finished artwork. Often, it is the level that you let yourself get taken away by your art that allows you to go beyond good and enter the realms of the great. In the case of Picasso, he essentially started a new art movement. True passion in what you do always takes it to another level. Any kind of work (not just art) without passion can be accomplished by anyone else but when what you do passionately is unique and personal to you, not only are you approaching greatness but you’re also letting your soul grow into something special.
