Daily Dose: Mundane Mondays
Some people refer to the first day of the week as Mundane Monday.
It’s the day after the weekend, the first day of another week of life, of school, or work,…a day of hell for Starbucks baristas all around. I get it, Mondays can indeed be dreadful. When the general mood of everyone around you, no matter where you are in the world, is gloomy, it’s really hard for anyone to just wake up and get things going. But give this a thought: what if you chose to have a good day? Instead of getting swept up with the label of “Mundane Monday” and going with the usual flow of sleepiness and dull first days of the week, you could have yourself a good, maybe even productive (I know, crazy, right?) day.
Sometimes we get so used to a routine of emotions that we forget that we have the power to decide what we want to feel. Moods may be associated with certain events or days of the year, but it certainly doesn’t have to be that way. When you wake up and smell the roses, it’s all about you.
You decide what you want to do, and there’s no better time to start than now, as cheesy as that sounds.
Have a happy Monday!
