Daily Dose: Video of the Day

The internet communicates, mediates, and shares information. In particular, YouTube allows users to generate digital content such as parodies, short films, and music.

Composer, Eric Whitacre, compiled global video submissions that formed a virtual choir. The composition, Lux Aurumque consists of different parts – alto, soprano, tenor, and bass. Selected viewers followed a conductor’s video and posted their part on YouTube. Whitacre chose respective soloists who tied the beautiful composition together.

The “Virtual Choir” exemplifies how the virtual space can unite people globally.

Create. Share. Inspire.
