Daily Dose: Video of the Day
Like most girls, I don’t listen to very much rap. But I do appreciate good music and good lyrics, and GOWE (Gifted On West East) is one of the only rappers whose music I actively follow. As one of the only Asian American Christian rappers out there, he is the opposite of typical, and his background is nothing short of amazing. Click here to find out a little more about him.
The first video is from his debut album, “We Are Hypergiants”, which will be released on June 17th. The second video is my, and many other’s, personal favorite. The depth of his lyrics is off the charts. Have a listen; you won’t be disappointed.

I Wonder Ft. Erin Kim
“I Wonder” is a poignant track about the mother Gowe never met. At the age of 18, Gowe discovered by accident that he was adopted and actually Korean – not Chinese. He debuted the song on stage at Kollaboration Seattle. The first verse recounts what he knows about his biological mother, the second verse discusses Gowe’s life growing up, and third verse consist of his commentary. Gowe hopes that one day his biological mother will hear this song and he can finally meet her.
